Speaker Profile: Susie Egan, Cottage Lake Gardens
Susie Egan is a landscape designer, master gardener, garden speaker and owner of Cottage Lake Gardens, a private plant nursery and two-acre botanical garden located on Cottage Lake in Woodinville, Washington.
For the past twenty years Susie has been developing Cottage Lake Gardens into a display garden open to the public during its spring garden tours. Her current focus has been on the study and propagation of native and woodland shade plants particularly trilliums, an endangered wildflower. It is one of the few places in the world where all 50 species of the world’s trilliums can be seen growing in one location.
Susie also gives talks on many different gardening topics for local garden clubs and internationally. Susie loves to share her knowledge and passion of gardening and spreading the joy and beauty it brings to others.
