The best way to enjoy both the weather and the results of your gardening efforts is to create an inviting area in your yard to eat, entertain or just sit and enjoy a peaceful quiet moment. Polly will provide ideas for creating your personal shangri la in your own backyard.
Speaker Profile: Polly Hankin
Polly Hankin is a landscape architect, designer and instructor at Edmonds Community College..
Polly grew up in Maine - along Cascoe Bay and moved to Seattle in 1979. She graduated from the UW Landscape Architecture Department in 1989 and worked at WA Department of Transportation on the planting for the I-90 Lid. She then worked in private practice for a few years and as a lecturer at the UW, Landscape Architecture department. Polly was licensed as a Landscape Architect in 1993 and began teaching full time at Edmonds Community College.
Polly continues to work in Landscape Design and architecture as a consultant and lecturer. She is married with one son who is 17. They are currently developing a property on Harstine Island for their retirement. Polly spends as much time as possible in her own garden.
