Topic: "Veggies! Succession Planting & Tips for Getting a Lot Out of a Small Space"
Learn how to live large in a small vegetable garden by learning how to maximize your space with strategic planting ideas, detailed succession planting plans, and tips for maximizing your space with inexpensive, easy trellises that allow you to take advantage of the vertical garden space. While the focus of this talk is on producing a lot of food in a small space, Willi will also offer suggestions for vegetable varieties that are flavorful and beautiful!
Speaker Profile: Willi Galloway

Willi began her career at Organic Gardening magazine, where she worked her way up from editorial intern to West Coast Editor.
She moved to Seattle in 2003 and became an active participant in the urban agriculture movement, earning her Master Gardener certification in 2004 and serving for six years on the board of directors of Seattle Tilth--a nationally recognized nonprofit that teaches people to cultivate a healthy urban environment and community by growing organic food.
This work introduced her to hundreds of other urban gardeners, and like many of them, she has grown food in untraditional places, including on the roof of an apartment building, at community gardens.
Her book Grow Cook Eat: A Food-Lover’s Guide to Vegetable Gardening is filled with practical, useful information on growing and cooking with food from your garden.
Willi lives with her family in Portland, Oregon and has a garden in her backyard and at community garden a short walk from her home.
