Topic: "A Behind the Scenes Look at Creating The Butchart Gardens' Amazing Floral Displays"
It may be March and you are probably eagerly awaiting the emergence of this year’s spring
flowers. It is such an exciting time in the garden. For us at The Butchart Gardens, we are actually
beginning the assessment of our early bulbs and starting the process of preparing for next year’s
show.
Our greenhouse operations have been working diligently since January to get plants started
for our summer displays. There are many challenges in designing and coordinating this intricate
process. Today we’ll step behind the scenes and take a look at how this process happens from
initial design to installation and finally the finished spring and summer displays through a visual
tour. Included will be some of Carlos’ top plant and bulb picks for this coming year.
