Dan Hinkley will now speak on March 3rd & Alex LaVilla will speak on March 31.

Every year, when the days are at their shortest, the weather looks the bleakest, and die-hard gardeners are out shoveling compost in the mud, wondering if the sun will EVER shine again, the Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation hosts the annual Sustainable Gardening Winter Speaker Series. This year is the 20th year we have been offering this lecture series!
The lecture series features eight celebrity gardeners, authors and subject matter experts sharing their knowledge on a variety of gardening subjects. Whatever the topic, they are always entertaining and educational. Plus they are SUCH a wonderful break from the winter doldrums!
The lectures are generally held every two weeks (exact scheduling depends on the speakers' availability) from the first Friday in January through early April. Each session runs from approximately 9:30 - 11:30am with a break mid-way.
GOOD NEWS!! We have a new venue for in-person lectures!! This year, we will be meeting at the Historic Everett Theater. 2911 Colby Ave, Everett 98201. With seating capacity of 800, there will be PLENTY of space for social distancing!! Masks are optional but encouraged in congested areas, e.g. restrooms. This downtown location provides numerous opportunities for lunch at local restaurants after each session.
Parking is on-street (beware of 90-minute limits), private pay lots and the EverPark facility with entrance on Hoyt (charge $1/hour). See the Directions tab for a map showing parking options.
Admission is by season pass sold between August and January. The price for a season subscription is $85.
Single tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance on-line starting January 1st. Payment must be received no later than 6pm the Wednesday before the lecture. Single ticket sales may also be purchased at the door.
