Speaker Profile: Candy Brown
Candy Brown has a deep passion for birds. She began an intense study of birds in the late 1990s when she joined Pilchuck Audubon Society and started working at PAWS Wildlife Hospital as a bird care specialist.
Using the knowledge that she gained as an education major in college followed by a career in corporate adult education, Candy developed classes on birds.
She has volunteered with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and certified her backyard in Edmonds as a Wildlife Sanctuary. There she has counted more than 80 different bird species.
